My first discovery as a Citizen Scientist was that our approach to science and medicine is often disjointed, disconnected and dysfunctional. We know the body's systems are inextricably intertwined, but we often fail to examine the interconnected whole. Clearly, we need a new research paradigm to incorporate the body’s complexity. The BioCollective was created to explore the Parkinson's gut-brain connection in an effort to help those with PD thrive. Join our quest and become a member of our collective effort.
I was an invited to speak at the White House National Microbiome Initiative as a citizen scientist.
This is my story, my quest to solve Parkinson's by identifying patterns in health, disease, and the microbiome.
I am a systems turn around expert, so I thought, why can't I turn Parkinson's around too.
